Rule Description and Uses
Commercial Quality ASTM A-366 This specification covers carbon steel coils and sheets, Commercial quality cold rolled. This material is recommended for both exposed and protected pieces, where prints and Moderate deformations in addition to welds can be involved.
ASTM A – 569 This specification covers coils and cut sheets of steel, with low carbon content less than 15%, hot rolled commercial quality This material is used in pieces where they can be involved bending, stamping and deformation process.
Stamped Quality ASTM A-619 This specification covers carbon steel coils and sheets, cold rolled quality stamping. It is recommended in the manufacture of pieces where deformations and severe prints (deep sausage) are present.
ASTM A-620 This specification covers carbon steel coils and sheets, quality cold rolled Stamping, special calming. It is recommended in the manufacture of pieces where deformations and particularly severe prints (extra deep sausage), or where a surface free of wrinkles is required.
ASTM A-621 This specification covers bonines and carbon steel sheets, hot rolled quality stamping. It is recommended in the manufacture of pieces where deformations and severe prints (deep sausage) and where the superficial appearance is not paramount.
ASTM -622 This specification covers carbon steel coils and sheets, Hot rolled quality Stamping, special calming. It is recommended in the manufacture of pieces where deformations and particularly severe prints (extra deep sausage).
Structural Quality ASTM A-36 This specification covers steel profiles, sheets and bars carbon structural quality to be welded, riveted or bolted in the construction of bridges and buildings, and for structural purposes.
ASTM A-283 GRADE C This specification covers quality carbon steel sheets structural for general applications.
ASTM A-572 GRADE 50 This specification covers high strength structural steels and low cobaltovanadium alloy, recommended for construction riveted, bolted or welded bridges, buildings and other structures.
Naval Quality ASTM A-131 GRADE A This specification covers profiles, sheets, bars and rivets mostly used for naval constructions.
Quality for Pressure Vessels ASTM A-516 B GRADE 70 This specification covers carbon steel sheets for the manufacture of welded containers, which must work under pressure and where a good tenacity is important.
